Sneak Peek: Georgetown v. Rutgers

Georgetown tries to win its third straight Sunday when it suits up for a re-match against Rutgers in the Garden State.  Tip is at 4 pm; you can watch on MASN or online at ESPN360, or listen on ESPN980.

The Hoyas and the Scarlet Knights faced off three weeks ago in D.C.   You can read the preview of that game here, and look over the recap of Georgetown’s 88-63 victory here.  Since then, Rutgers has been on a comparatively hot streak, notching conference victories numbers 1 and 2, and beating some school called Caldwell that features neither Colts coach Jim nor free agent receiver Reche.  So, Rutgers has won 3 out of 4, with all three victories at home.  Sunday, it will look for its first big win of the season.

Georgetown faces a potential tune-up before finishing the regular season with five straight games against potential tournament teams–Syracuse, Louisville, Notre Dame, West Virginia, and Cincinnati.  At 8-4 in conference, the Hoyas could still conceivably finish 13-5, or could drop to 10-8.  It all starts Sunday.

Prediction–Georgetown 75, Rutgers 63.
